Research pushes the boundaries of human knowledge - but it can also push you to your limits. Long hours, complex problem-solving, and the pressure to publish can leave even the most brilliant minds feeling exhausted, detached and unfulfilled. Burnout isn’t just stress: it’s a systemic issue in high-stakes fields like yours. Left unaddressed, it can undermine both personal health and professional success.
This 2-hour interactive workshop addresses the causes and symptoms of burnout and focusses on your experiences. Through guided discussions and peer exchange, we’ll explore:

  • how burnout manifests in research culture,
  • recognizing early signs and breaking the pattern, and
  • your specific challenges: we’ll identify stressors unique to your field and explore strategies to mitigate them.

The session begins with a brief, anonymous survey to surface shared concerns, followed by a facilitated conversation where your insights drive the discussion. Join us for space to share, reflect, and problem-solve alongside colleagues who understand the pressures you face. Your perspective will shape the conversation.
